Day 2 Candle Gazing Challenge 🕯️ Monday Motivation

Day 2 Candle Gazing Challenge 🕯️ Monday Motivation

It's cold and gray outside, the trees are beginning to show signs of going dormant. I feel heavy. The weight of Mondays "back to the daily grind" wake-up call comes knocking far before I'm ready to hop back into productivity-mode.

When I feel into the energy of Monday, there appear to be two paths available. One of which I feel shackled and weighed down like I'm walking through thick, sinking mud OR I could light a candle and let the energy of the fire dance within my soul, igniting the motivation to shine bright, no matter what day of the week it is.

If you feel like playing in the mud, that's okay. Feel into the energy and let it move through you. The more you resist, the deeper the trench becomes.

For a little extra motivation, below are a few benefits of candle gazing.

Are you in?

Benefits of Candle Gazing

Improved Concentration and Productivity Levels

Candle gazing encourages you to focus on the flame in front of you, preferably in a darkened room. By doing this, your attention has nowhere to go except the flame.

Without any visible distractions, your mental faculties get a workout as your consciousness becomes absorbed in the flame and nothing else. This can encourage mono-focus and if practiced regularly, it can spill out into other areas such as your work and home life.

Cleanses the Etheric Body

Trataka is a cleansing technique for the eyes and encourages deep concentration.

It is a yoga technique for the visual senses and when practiced can cleanse the eyes and the etheric body while providing you with a deeper sense of peace and clarity. You may also experience new light on a situation that has been persistently bothering you.

Revitalizes your Energy

Once the etheric body is cleansed, the natural result is an increased sense of purpose and vision.

You may experience greater self-confidence and more determination to follow through instead of second-guessing or doubting your own abilities to succeed.

Calm Mind & Cultivates Inner Peace

When the mind is in such a deep state of focus, all else falls away. Candle gazing is excellent for calming thoughts and emotions. When the mind’s waters are calm and focused and this brings a transcendent state of inner peace.

Thoughts and emotions that may have previously bothered you begin to fall away or settle down with regular practice.

Improves Eyesight & Vision

The practice of daily Trakata can strengthen the eye muscles and even help to fight all kinds of vision-related issues.

A snapshot from today's practice

Cat on one side, dog on the other. Distractions from our practice are very real. Keep coming back to center, focusing on the flame. Try to silence your rolling to-do list and feel into the energy of the flame. Remember to speak your intention out loud, I find this drops me right into my practice, and the intentions stay with me throughout the day.

Write down any breakthroughs that come to you so that we can share them on our Halloween Zoom!

Day 2 down, you can do this!
